 A well-developed research question is essential for the success of a study. It's imperative that I spend time honing my research questions. It's important that I am the best time defining the knowledge gap. It's critical to master the literature to find out what is known and what is not known on my focal topic. It's also important to ensure the question is feasible. It's a good idea to use the research question to guide the choice of method and set boundaries for the analyst to also be sure it passes the So what test. Learn about behaviors and interactions in natural settings, study cultural aspects of setting or particular context. Now, the latest tools always connect us to a network of spies, capturing our every move. Such as touch screen devices and smartphones that only rotate to the best camera position. What is next now we have widely available eye-tracking systems for usability research, marketing, inexpensive and expansive digital storage. I wonder if Technical Communication will replace crime fighters with a few digital Police. This 2015 publication in Technical Communication Quarterly inspires me to wonder if our prison population is steadily declining.
